UTAH GENIUS AWARDS ON MAY 12, 2009 AT LITTLE AMERICA

The Utah Genius Awards will be presented on May 12, 2009 at a luncheon at Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City. The purpose of the awards is to recognize individuals driving Utah’s creative economy. Unlike other awards programs, Utah Genius focuses on the creative individuals and municipalities driving Utah’s economy, rather than on the corporations. Awards are given based on objective data gathered for 2008. Awards include, among others:

* Top 20 Utah Patentees
* Top 5 Cities by Number of Patents
* Top 5 Cities by Patents per Capita
* Top 20 Utah Trademark Registrants

Jack Brittain will be the keynote speaker at this event. Jack Brittain is the Dean of the David Eccles School of Business and the University of Utah’s Vice President of Technology Venture Development.
